Uno, Dos, Tres!

(NB: Post moved from my old blog, originally written 15/09/09)

Hello hello! Let me hope I've not given anyone heart palpitations with this sudden reappearance. What can I say? Starting back at college (when I say college, I mean the British version - i.e. not university, which I hope to start next year) makes me want to do anything that can avoid work and naturally, blogging is perfectos. But really, I have no cause to complain too much because I am now officially an art student and actually like what I'm doing. It also means I am free from the shackles of a uniform or dress code!

Remixd: 15.09.09

Anyhoo, in the past few weeks, I have (finally) seen the Royal Tenenbaums, Annie Hall & My So-Called Life. The latter is my current obsession (because I bought the box set). So involved was I, that I actually welled up at points (this is bizarre because I rarely cry, especially not at tv/film type things). The watching of the aforementioned films has translated into what I've bought & consequently worn I find...
  • Men's Harris Tweed jacket: last saturday's flea market (haggled the price down from £25 to £20 for a missing button - not much but I'm pleased I actually tried to haggle this time!)
  • Grey mickey mouse t-shirt: ink & paint (via clotheshow live 4 years ago)
  • Blue-y patterned dress: topshop (haha, I saw this same dress was being sold in a vintage shop the other week... it's only about 2 years old!)
  • Black tights: ??
  • Black brogues: office (I was wary of buying them because they're too trendy right now, but then I thought I like them and my feet are small so I doubt I'll find any that fit in the charity shops so why not?!)
  • Bag: handmade from a jacket
  • Small gold hoop earrings: gift (from err... 8 years ago I think)
Maybe you can tell or maybe you can't, but I was attempting to channel Angela Chase with the earrings (whilst trying to take the 'chav' association out of them - honestly, on me, they give more of a gypsy or mystic look). The brogues reminded me of Margot Tenenbaum and the jacket Annie Hall. I don't think I could get more associations in one outfit!
